I hope that everyone had a great holiday season and a happy new year! We have been very busy during the past few weeks fishing. We have been landing so many fish that our fishing charter guests have started to call it “catching” instead of “fishing”. From big game trophy fish like sailfish, wahoo and dolphin (mahi-mahi). There has also been some great “catching” over the reefs and some of our secret wreck spots. This week the best Key Largo fishing was offshore and around the reefs.
Overall our fishing charter guests were treated to a wide variety of fishing styles which resulted in lots of great Key Largo fishing. Just like last week we had good action live baiting on the edge of the reefs. The winds cooperated and allowed us to do some deep sea fishing between Key Largo and Islamorada. So we trolled live baits and lures, which yielded mahi-mahi, wahoo and tuna. It was surprising to see the mahi-mahi still around, but if they are around the Captains of the Key Largo Fishing Adventure are going to find them. We were also able to fish the reefs and caught some nice red snapper and groupers.

The winter season brings beautiful weather to the Key Largo area and it also brings some great fishing! The big game fish come out to play like sailfish and yellow-fin tuna as well as spanish and cero mackerel. Because we have the largest fishing charter fleet in all of Key Largo, we do lots of group and corporate fishing charters, so make sure to book your trip in advance.
