Start the New Year with a Key Largo Fishing Charter Adventure!

The new year is here and the crew of KeysSportFishing.com wanted to make it a memorable year for all of our Key Largo fishing charter guests.  Although we have had some spotty weather with some rain and heavy winds, our crew is still on top of all the fishing action.  Our fleet of charter fishing boats all have plenty of covered space to protect our guests from the rain and wind. So, come on out for a fun day on the water.

The offshore fishing bite has been good.  Our offshore fishing charter guests have been landing some nice sailfish, which is an experience of a lifetime to see these majestic billfish up close.  We are seeing plenty of torpedo-sized wahoo and king mackerel this time of year as well.  I think this is the best time of year for live-baiting with a variety of bait species.  Anywhere from 100 feet to 250 feet of deep blue water is the best place to live-bait for big offshore game.  The winds also allows for us to do some kite fishing while deep sea fishing.  Kite fishing provides an added bit of fun and a great way to present a bait or lure to our target species.

If the winds are blowing too hard to make it offshore, then we take refuge within the coral reefs.  In the upper Keys we have a system of patch reefs that run parallel to the shoreline and provide natural protection from rough water when the winds are high.  Our reef fishing charter guests are are landing a huge variety of local fish, many of which are great table fare.  We are catching big mutton snappers, yellowtail snappers, barracudas and bonnethead sharks.

Don’t miss out on the experience of a lifetime and book your Key Sport Fishing charter today.  We don’t have much of a winter season in Key Largo, so it’s the perfect time to bring the family out for a fishing trip.  Our captains and mates enjoy having kids on board and ensure that everyone has a good time.  Call me, Captain Danny, to book your Key Largo fishing charter today at (305) 923-9293 or visit www.KeysSportFishing.com.
