Wahoo! March Madness on a Key Largo Fishing Charter.

Most of the time when people are refer to March Madness they are talking college basketball.  But over the last few weeks the Wahoo bite has been crazy!  The guests on our Key Largo fishing charters are having a ball reeling in gigantic Wahoo while offshore fishing on the Fin Razor.  There is also lots of yummy action on the reef during this time of year.  So, if you are coming down to the Keys for spring break then come join us for a true Key Largo fishing adventure.

I’ve been offshore fishing in Key Largo for a very long time and I think this is the best Wahoo fishing I have ever seen.  Not only are these torpedos of the deep blue sea showing up in numbers, they are all monster size.  We have been mostly trolling and live baiting speedos.  And it seems that along with the warmer water the delicious Mahi-Mahi is starting show up again.  There are still plenty of sailfish around as well, which makes for a very fun time to be offshore fishing in Key Largo.

Reef fishing in Key Largo has been producing lots of Yellowtail Snappers.  Big Cobia is also ending up in the coolers of our charter fishing guests.  We are very lucky to have a healthy reef ecosystem throughout the Florida Keys that allows for year round good fishing.  And some of the tastiest fishing for sure.  Typically, we will anchor up and start chumming the waters to create a thick and heavy slick.  Then we freeline live shrimp or ballyhoo chunks as the bait to entice those Yellowtails to come up off the reef.

This time of year always brings out the kids on spring break and we love to have them onboard.  Whether you are a 5 year old or 70 year old kid, you are always welcome to come fish we me, Captain Danny.  Call me directly at (305) 923-9293 or book online now.  Things get busy during spring break, so make sure to book early.
