This summer has produced a consistent flow of dolphin (mahi-mahi) in the Upper Keys. It has also produced a consistent flow of families fishing on our boats. Now, don’t get me wrong, I get excited about fishing tournaments and going after the big trophy fish. But some of my fondest memories are when families come on a charter fishing trip with us. The look on youngsters faces when a fish rips line out of a spool or when they land their first fish. Now that is unforgettable. Conditions out on the water have been perfect for fishing Key Largo. The smooth seas have been great for our offshore fishing charter trips and reef fishing charter trips. Unlike the majority of south Florida which has been hit with torrential rains during the month of July, Key Largo weather has been beautiful.
