September and October are a bit less crowded in the Florida Keys, so it’s a perfect time to come down and go fishing. The seas have been calm and the dolphin (mahi-mahi) bite has been incredible. Our fishing charter guests have been limiting out on almost every trip. One customer said to me “this isn’t fishing, this is catching”. It sure is nice to go home with plenty of fresh, delicious dolphin to fill the freezer after a trip with us at Key Largo Fishing Adventures.
Speaking of fresh and delicious fish, our good friends from The Fish House came aboard Fin Razer for their annual fishing trip with us. What a great day of fishing for The Fish House folks, by 10am they had 50 fish in the boat. Captain Danny and mate Mike really know how to get on the fish fast. And the crew at The Fish House really knows how to cook that fish up. So, come fishing with us and take your catch to them for a fresh and delicious meal. I’m starting to get hungry just thinking about it.
Want to catch something other than delicious dolphin? Well we are seeing sailfish starting to show up on the waters off Key Largo and Islamorada. One of our guests landed 2 sailfish in one trip last week. We are also seeing tuna, amberjack and monster-sized wahoo action on our recent fishing charters.
We post pictures of our daily catch on our Facebook page, so make sure to check those out. And please don’t forget to book your reservations in advance as we have been pretty busy this season. You can reserve your Key Largo fishing charter on our website or you can call me, Capt. Greg, directly at (305) 923-9293.
